People always want to know why I became a Holistic Nutritionist! I can genuinely say my body chose this path for me. I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 32. Despite medical pressure to undergo chemo, I decided to treat it much more holistically. I had a powerful instinct that the way I had been leading my life was at the root of my illness. My self-esteem and self-worth were incredibly low. I was addicted to sugar and carbs and had a high-stress job in marketing and advertising. I needed to change the way I lived my life fundamentally. I started juicing, eating vegan, doing yoga, meditating, and participating in deep therapy. I went into remission, but my relationship with cancer and healing didn’t end there. My husband was diagnosed with cancer 11 years later and passed away at 45 years old. We had two young girls, and I decided to devote myself entirely to a path that would help me move beyond fear and grief and into support and light for my children and myself. I left my job and went back to school to become certified in Holistic Integrative Nutrition. It was a cosmic shift for me, as I have now worked in this space for the last ten years. I help others heal by asking the right questions about their lives, getting to the real root cause of “why” they are sick. My one-on-one consults are the most fulfilling parts of my day, and it makes me feel so connected to the world around me to be a part of a healing shift in someone’s life. My 5 Day S.O.U.P Cleanse is another way I love to share the superpowers of food!
I have a simple daily food routine that focuses on nourishing my body! I wake up and immediately drink 16oz of water with lemon, and then have a cup of ORGANIC coffee. Organic coffee is essential, as non-organic coffee contains a ton of toxins. I will then have a 16oz green juice: my go-to is celery, cucumber, lemon ginger, and romaine. Juicing is the best way to get nutrients at a cellular level! If you are in LA, Erewhon has the best cold pressed juices around for when you are on the go. For lunch, I’ll eat a plant-based salad. Dinners can contain a small portion of clean animal protein a few times a week, alongside lots of leafy greens and complex carbs.
I try to treat every day as an opportunity to detox! I drink green juice in the morning and have a green drink in the afternoon- I love Ora Easy Being Green powder since it contains such clean ingredients. I aim to consume a minimum of 35g of fiber, daily. My favorite tip for boosting fiber intake is Basil Seeds! Just two tablespoons contain 14g of fiber, and you can put them in your salad or even a smoothie.
I think everyone should assemble a tribe of people that they trust to help them on their health journey. I have a group of professionals around me that I adore. I see functional doctors like Dr. Apostolos Lekkos and Dr. Andree LeRoy. For breathwork, Elizabeth Winkler is incredible. I book sessions with Kelsey Patel for Reiki, and Peggy Rometo for an Intuitive Reading. It is all about treating the mind, body, and soul!
Something I have found incredibly helpful, which anyone can do is journaling! I start each morning by writing down any anxieties or fears. Writing them down takes a lot of the power away from them and turns them into actionable items I can handle. I also write down what I want to get out of the day! In the evening before bed, I will write down three things I am grateful for, which is a great way to focus your positive intent.
People are always asking me what my favorite products are. I use certain things almost every day, if not daily: Further Food Collagen Powder, Prima Daily CBD Capsules, Eidon Minerals Zinc, and Silica, Ora Easy Being Greens Powder, Quicksilver B Spray (with Liposomal C from Quicksilver), Pure Synergy Multivitamins, and Ultima Replenisher powder. They are products that I will tell all my clients to try because the quality is exceptional, and I know they make a difference.
Experts I work with:
Dr. Leroy is an integrative and Intuitive MD and I also see Elizabeth Winkler for both Breathwork & Meditation.
My mantra is “I Love Myself, And All I Need Is Love.” Loving yourself is crucial- it’s where all your abundance and peace stems from. The more you can honor and respect yourself, the more you can give others, and the more you can receive the good that the world has to offer!
