The best way to keep your skin young is feeding it what it needs the natural way. No need for botox if you follow these natural tricks:
1. Sunscreen
We have heard this before, but when you see the stats, it's scary. The #1 reason for wrinkles, you got it, the uv rays from the sun. Make sure to use sun screen to protect your skin and turn this into a religious habit.
2. Switch up your sleeping position
Some wrinkles can be because of the way you sleep! Sleeping with you face on the pillow not only cause wrinkles, but can also be the culprit in causing acne. Try your best to sleep on your back to let your skin breathe at night.
3. Hydrate
True story. We met a 60 year old lady who looked more like 40. We asked for her secret, and she simply said she drinks 2 gallons of water everyday. While you don't have to go to those extremes, if all fails, just drink some water to keep your cells hydrated and plump.
4. Wash your face regularly
Any dirt throughout the day or build up from your make up can cause blockage in your pores, suffocating your skin. Make sure to give a gentle cleanse at least twice a day to keep your skin clean. We suggest starting with warm water to open up the pores and then ending with a splash of cool water to seal everything up to keep your skin tight!
5. Try coconut oil
Coconut oil is a natural emollient, meaning applying a thin layer will fill gaps in your pores leaving it nice and smooth and hydrated. Try this instead of using a primer!
6. Limit your sugar intake
Sugar in your body sets off a process called glycation, and advanced glycation end products (called AGEs) that basically breaks down collagen on your skin. Limit your sugar intake (especially artificial ones) to keep your youthful shape.
7. Wear less makeup
This one is a bit obvious because we want to keep the skin in the most natural state. Better breathe-able skin gives a certain glow that no highlighter does. Just put on a simple moisturizer and sun screen to keep the skin hydrated and let your skin have some fresh air.
